Historic Preservation Commission

The South Brunswick Historic Preservation Commission (HPC) was established in 2004 as a five member volunteer body to administer the Township Historic Districts and Resources. The Kingston Historic District was also designated in 2004. These historic preservation regulations are intended to effect and accomplish the protection, enhancement and perpetuation of especially noteworthy examples or elements of the Township’s history and heritage.
The HPC reviews applications for exterior alterations to these designated historic properties, offers constructive and practical advice to the owners, and through its staff, works with the owners and their contractors throughout the permitting process.
The HPC usually meets open the second Monday of the month in Town Hall in the Committee Conference Room at 7:30 P.M.
