Utilities Department

The South Brunswick Township Utilities were acquired in 1971. The Utility services water and sewer to South Brunswick residents and the franchise areas of Franklin, Plainsboro, North Brunswick, Monroe, and Cranbury Townships.

Mission Statement:

The Utilities Department is committed to its fundamental objective as a public utility: to provide and protect an adequate water supply and system, which includes a wastewater collection system, while meeting or exceeding all regulatory requirements as economically possible and in an environmentally-sound manner, for the growing residential, commercial and industrial needs of South Brunswick Township.

The Department consists of three subdivisions:

Operations Water Division: This division handles all of the water operations in South Brunswick. If you have technical problems with your water service, such as leakage, main breaks, or require information regarding the water quality, this is the division you need to contact. Operations: Sewer Division: This division handles all of the sewer operations in South Brunswick. If you have technical problems with your sewer service, such as laterals or blockage, this is the division you need to contact. Finances: Water & Sewer Revenue Division: This division manages the financial operations of the Utilities Department. Offices located in the Municipal Building. Hours of Operation: 8:30am – 4:30pm Monday – Friday

 

The Water & Sewer Revenue Division bills and collects the revenue of the township water & sewer utilities. The revenue is utilized to maintain and offset the operating water and sewer costs. As the township and all franchise areas serviced by our water and sewer continues to grow, the Water and Sewer Revenue Division has constantly maintained to upgrade our billing and collection system to effectively service our customers.
