The Public Works Department aims to protect the quality of life for South Brunswick Township residents. Every day, dedicated professionals take pride in the jobs they do to protect the health, safety and well-being of every citizen. Our Department performs several important functions, such as:
- Maintenance and repair of Township roads
- Asphalt overlay program
- Ice control and snow design
- Planning and maintenance for parks and public buildings
- Maintaining detention basins
- Capturing and impounding loose and stray animals
- Responding to complaints from the public regarding stray, vicious, diseased or dead animals
- Investigating animal bites and quarantines
- Coordinating solid waste/recycling contract
- Complaint resolution
- Maintaining brush drop off convenience center and recycling center including participation in the County paint, electronics, household battery and tire recycling programs
