Access To Public Records

Township Council minutes, contracts, ordinances, resolutions and additional information is available for review in the Municipal Building. Public records may be requested at the Municipal Clerk’s Office or at the appropriate department counter.

 

In addition, you can click on this hyperlink to find ordinances, resolutions and Township Council Meeting minutes.  There is new information being added every day. It’s probably a good idea to start searching there, because there are no fees involved. Our entire code is also available online at  South Brunswick Township Code.

Request
Pursuant to the Open Public Records Act (OPRA) a Records Request Form is available and may be downloaded below. Some records will be immediately available during normal business hours and some records which require time to compile and to make the copies requested should be available within seven (7) business days. The records requested for commercial purpose shall be available within(14) business days.

Legal proceeding records and discovery records must be requested to Police Department Records Bureau via pdrec@sbpdnj.net or 732-823-3970.

Copy Fees

Except as otherwise provided by law or regulation, the fee assessed for the duplication of a printed record shall be: $.05 cents for a letter size copy or smaller and $.07 cents for a legal size copy or larger. 

For motor vehicle crash reports, there is a $5.00 fee for each report unless they are requested in-person at the Police Department.
