Citizens Police Academy

The Academy will offer training on a range of law enforcement topics including motor vehicle laws, criminal law, and use of force. In addition citizens will learn about crime scene processing, defensive tactics, and internal affairs. The academy will culminate with a day of practical exercises where students will handle simulated motor vehicle stops, disputes, and other realistic scenarios. Classes will be held one night per week in the Training Center at Police Headquarters for 9 weeks.
