Work is taking place on Welcome Farms Road, Norton Road, Walden Pond Way, First Avenue, Ellis Court, and Donner Court as crews advance the next phase of improvements.

Topsoil restoration work began on Friday, March 27, 2026, including touch-ups in previously disturbed lawn areas.

Beginning yesterday, Monday, March 30, 2026, crews began manhole cover replacement work in preparation for upcoming milling and paving operations.

Work hours are Monday through Friday, from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

During construction:

  • Roads may be closed to through traffic during working hours
  • Local traffic and emergency vehicles will be permitted access

Motorists are advised to use caution when traveling through work zones and to follow all posted signage and directions from traffic control personnel.

“The Fresh Impressions Program continues to be a critical investment in our community’s infrastructure,” said Deputy Mayor Ken Bierman. “These improvements not only enhance the condition of our roadways but also help ensure safer and more reliable travel for our residents.  We appreciate everyone’s patience as this important work moves forward.”

The final phase of the project will include roadway milling and paving operations.  A separate notice with detailed scheduling and instructions will be distributed to residents prior to the start of that work.

Residents with questions or concerns may contact Dennis Slavin, Capital Project Manager at 732-329-4000 x7243 or dslavin@sbtnj.net.

The Township thanks residents for their continued cooperation and patience as these important roadway improvements are completed.
