TOWNSHIP COUNCIL OF THE TOWNSHIP OF SOUTH BRUNSWICK

PUBLIC NOTICE

NOTICE OF INTRODUCED/PENDING BOND ORDINANCE AND SUMMARY           

      The Bond Ordinance, the summary terms of which are included herein, was introduced and approved upon First Reading at a meeting of the Township Council of the Township of South Brunswick, New Jersey held on September 2, 2026. It will be further considered for final passage after Public Hearing thereon at a meeting of said Township Council to be held on September 16, 2026 at 6:00 p.m. at the Township Municipal Building, 540 Ridge Road, Monmouth Junction, New Jersey.  A copy of such Bond Ordinance has been posted on the Township’s website and in the Township Municipal Building during the week prior to and up to and including the date of said meeting. Copies of such Bond Ordinance will be made available at the Office of the Township Clerk in the Township Municipal Building to members of the general public who shall request the same. The summary of the terms of such Bond Ordinance follows:

Title:        BOND ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS FOR AND BY THE TOWNSHIP OF SOUTH BRUNSWICK, IN THE COUNTY OF MIDDLESEX, NEW JERSEY, APPROPRIATING THE AGGREGATE AMOUNT OF $9,787,900 THEREFOR, AND AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE OF $9,298,581 IN BONDS OR NOTES OF THE TOWNSHIP TO FINANCE PART OF THE COST THEREOF

Purpose:  The improvements authorized and the purpose for the financing of which the bonds are to be issued are the capital improvements required with respect to the: a) Edmunds System Transition for the Finance Department; b) Road overlay program, fuel management system, building improvements and stationary vehicle lifts/shop equipment for the Department of Public Works; c) Door replacements and bus replacement; d) Upgrades to Municipal Building network switches, desktop computer replacement, laptop computer replacement, backup file server replacements, Enforsys A server replacement, new radio modems for police cars, new radio antennae for police and other Township vehicles, Panasonic CF-40’s/docking stations for Shared Service Agencies, file server S-Drive replacements for Township and Police Department, network firewall upgrades to replace obsolete technology, camera enhancements for Municipal Building, additions to the door entry system, replace ID card printer and other printer replacements; e) purchase of new ambulance, Axon bodyworn cameras, replacement patrol AED’s and various vehicles for the Police Department; f) Relamping of soccer field 1 at Harvest Woods, replacement of turf fields at Harvest Woods, improvements at Wetherhill Historic Site and improvement of various park equipment; and g) Roadway improvements to Beck Court, Rolling Court, Holder Road, Route 522 (Section 1A), and Wetherhill Roadway (Phase IB) and project design for Rochelle Drive and Cardinal Court DOT Project, together with all work and materials necessary therefor and incidental thereto.
