Tax & Revenue Collection

The Tax Collector is responsible for the billing, collection, reporting, and enforcement of municipal taxes for the Township of South Brunswick. Property taxes are due on February 1, May 1, August 1, and November 1. Failure to receive a tax bill does not exempt you from paying taxes or the interest due on delinquent taxes. There is a 10 day grace period. Taxes must be received in the tax office on or before the 10th, however, if the 10th falls on a weekend or legal holiday, you have until the next business day to make payment. Payments received after the 10th will have interest charged back to the due date. Postmarks are not accepted.

If you recently purchased a property in South Brunswick and do not have a tax bill, please contact this office for the amount due, or use the link below to access your account.

The filing deadline for 2019 Senior Freeze (property Tax Reimbursement) application has been extended to February 1, 2021.  If you have questions, please contact the Property Tax Reimbursement Hotline at 1-800-882-6597 or visit their website,


The 2020 Final/2021 Preliminary tax bills (purple & white bill) were mailed on October 15, 2020.  The grace period for the 4th quarter 2020 is Tuesday,  November 10, 2020.  Postmarks are not accepted.  Payments that are not received by the grace period will be charged interest back to the quarterly due date of November 1, 2020.  If you are enrolled in our ACH Debit plan**, the 4th quarter 2020 payment will be debited from your bank account on November 2, 2020.  If you did not receive a tax bill, or, if you have any questions, please contact our office.

2020 Property Tax Quarterly Due Dates - Grace Period for all quarters is the 10th*.

First Quarter - Due Date February 1, 2020                  Grace Period - February 10, 2020

Second Quarter - Due Date May 1, 2020                      the Grace Period has been extended to June 1, 2020*, per Resolution  2020-187 adopted by Township Council on 4/28/20
